Muscat International Airport is strategically located on the Main Sultan Qaboos Road between Muscat and Al-Seeb cities.
Take Sultan Qaboos Highway travelling west from Muscat City Centre, with the sea on your right-hand side. Muscat International Airport will be on the right side of the highway with a signpost. Take the exit signpost and Follow the slip road until you reach the flyover and stay in the right passing lane while following the signage.
Take Sultan Qaboos Highway travelling east towards Muscat City Centre, with the sea on your left-hand side. Muscat International Airport is on the left side of the highway with a signpost. Follow the signage and take the slip road until you reach the flyover, then turn left, crossing over Sultan Qaboos Highway. Stay on the left passing lane before turning left to enter Muscat International Airport.
If arriving from other parts of Oman or going towards them, take Burj Al Sahwa roundabout, then go to the western side of Muscat International Airport that connects the capital city to routes across the rest of the country.

Muscat Airport dedicated pick-up and drop-off areas in front of the departures and arrival terminals. For security reasons and in order to prevent congestion, the drop-off and pick-up areas are equipped with access systems to enhance passenger comfort and control traffic flow more effectively. Vehicles are not allowed to stay longer than 10 minutes in these areas; neither are drivers allowed to leave their vehicles unattended, or else they will be seized. Passengers who wish to stay longer than 10 minutes are recommended to use the short-term car parking.
Where can I drop off passengers?

To ensure a smooth transfer to the check-in area, trolleys are available in front of the departure area in order to assist in carrying your luggage.
Please note that for security reasons, and to ease congestion in the terminal building, only passengers with valid travel documents are permitted to enter the departures hall.
For departing first and business class passengers travelling with Oman Air, a dedicated drop-off area, close to Oman Air’s First and Business Class check-in lounge, is available.
Where can I pick up passengers?

Muscat Airport provides parkings, for both short and long-stay cars, for travelers and family and friends picking-up or dropping-off their loved ones. All car parks are located just a short walk from the main terminal building.
Parking tickets can be paid, in Omani Riyals only in automated ticket machines situated in each car park. Car parking attendants are available on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in case any assistance is required.

Muscat International Airport has several car rental companies to assist those wishing to rent a car during their stay in Oman. Their offices are located in the arrivals hall.
In car park 2 level 0, in the south parking area, cars are available for passengers to pick, after completion of formalities.
When passengers are about to leave Muscat, they can return their rented cars to the designated area in P2 level 0.
Additional covered parking spaces are available for rented vehicles in the ground floor between the south parking area and the passenger terminal.

Public buses, operated by Mwasalat Transport Company, are available at the bus station located in the ground floor outside the airport building.

Several hotels and tour operators offer private buses to transport their guests from Muscat Airport directly to their hotels or resorts.
Hotel and tour operators’ representatives will be waiting at the arrival lounge for travelers arriving at Muscat Airport, upon baggage reclaim and customs clearance. Many hotels and tour operators also have information desks and assembly points in the arrival lounge to provide assistance during the trip.
Please prearrange courtesy buses directly with your hotel or travel agent prior to travelling.
First and Business Class passengers can fly to and from the airport in a unique atmosphere of luxury and comfort, by taking advantage of the service of the private driver who takes them directly to their destination.
